Brookdale's Hospitality IQ, was the winner of the 2013 Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) Best of the Best Award in the Equipping Community Staff with Mobile Technology category. This mobile application and web tool allows community, regional and divisional Dining Services associates to troubleshoot opportunities for improvement. The application generates an action plan, which outlines each problem area, lists potential solutions, identifies the person(s) responsible for the action steps, and determines the completion due date.
Brookdale's Selling Brookdale, Developing Associate & Leader Success – Blended-Learning (Online & On-site) Curriculum, was the winner of the 2013 ALFA Best of the Best Award in the Innovating Lead Management Initiatives category. This is a problem-based learning methodology blending multimedia e-learning components with one-on-one activities to help learners rapidly develop foundational awareness, practice knowledge application and demonstrate new skills. The sales curriculum improves the orientation and development process for sales associates, expedites authentic engagement with prospective residents and stakeholders, and drives shorter sales cycles and increased move ins.
Alexis Parks, resident care associate at Holley Court Terrace in Oak Park, Ill., received the 2013 ALFA Hero Award May 8th at the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) 2013 Conference & Expo in Charlotte, N.C.
